INFORMATION ON FORTHCOMING EVENTS

Notable activities of Vietnam Cooperative Alliance in May and June 2003

· Participation with Central Economic Committee in preliminary wrap-up report of 01 year implementing Resolution No 13 approved at the fifth Congress of the Central Executive Committee of Communist Party on continuously renovating, developing and improving efficiency of collective economy.

· Working with Ministry of Home Affair on the establishment of Steering Committee of renovation, development and efficiency improvement of collective economy in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No 13, and on the working relation between Vietnam Cooperative Alliance and the Government Agencies.

· Summarization of the writing competition on Cooperative Movement organized by the Enterprise Newspaper.

· Collaborating with the Central Factory of documentary film to produce a film titled "Looking back over cooperatives after 01 year implementing the Resolution on collective economy of the fifth Congress of the Central Executive Committee of Communist Party".

· Working with the Consulate Office (Ministry of Foreign Affair) and Department of International Affairs (Government Office) on the Foreign Affairs of Vietnam Cooperative.

· Organization of training courses for support and promotion officers of Municipal and Provincial Cooperative Alliances.

· Organization of 02 training courses for supervision officers of Municipal and Provincial Cooperative Alliances (01 in Hanoi and 01 in Ho Chi Minh City)

· Organization of Seminar on Cooperative Development in the Market Economy (in Nam Dinh and Lang Son province).

· Organization of Seminar on Cooperative Audit and Experimental Implementation of Audit in some primary cooperatives.

· Organization of training course on Promotion of Commerce for members (In collaboration with EBIC) Participation in 90th International Labour Conference in Geneva, Switzerland.
