Strategies for image building of co-operatives: Asia-Pacific regional seminar
Assisting members to assert the ´Co-operative Advantage´ in the market place was the aim of the ICA Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific and the National Co-operative Union of India jointly organised seminar, "Strategies for Image Building of Co-operatives". Held in New Delhi (India) from 17-19 October 2002, participants formulated practical and implementable proactive strategy for image building of co-operatives following discussions on a wide range of issues including:
co-operative values vis-a-vis effectiveness and competitiveness of co-operative business;
co-operative governance; social audit as an instrument for image building;
media and co-operatives;
building up networking and strategic alliances for co-operatives.
More than 40 top leaders and chief executives of business and national promotional level co-operatives from India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea and Vietnam attended the seminar.
